Preschool Referrals

Philadelphia Public School District, in accordance with the IDEA, provides services for 3, 4, and 5 year old preschool children with “special needs” who meet state eligibility criteria.

We are attempting to identify children who may be delayed in two or more areas of their development.  These areas include:

• Cognitive (thinking/reasoning skills)
• Social/Emotional Skills
• Gross Motor Skills (hopping, skipping, jumping)
• Fine Motor Skills
• Speech/Language

If you know of children who may qualify for special help in these developmental areas, or if you suspect a child may have a hearing, vision, or physical impairment or disability, please have the parent/guardian contact us at (601) 656-2955.
