Dear Philadelphia School Community,

Welcome to the Philadelphia Public School District.  I am truly honored and excited to serve as your superintendent. Our district has a long tradition of excellence in providing young scholars with an exceptional education in a safe and caring environment.

Every day, members of our community work improve the lives of our students! Our staff is dedicated to meeting each child’s academic, social and emotional needs. Our School Board and district administration is committed to providing every school the tools it needs to be successful. Additionally, parents and community members voluntarily donate their time, talent, and resources to our schools. We consider these efforts to be a blessing to our school community.

We “PRIDE” ourselves on working diligently to prepare our students to be successful leaders of the 21st century. We are committed to all students in receiving an engaging, innovative, and academically rewarding instructional program. The district is eager to offer extracurricular activities, sports and other school-related events to the students so that they can all benefit from positive socialization opportunities with their peers that is essential for their health and well-being.
