On behalf of the students, faculty and staff, and Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Public School District, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website, the informational gathering place for our District.

We are proud to serve students from the Philadelphia community. The schools of PPSD fill each day with a diverse population of learners and highly trained staff members dedicated to the education and advancement of our community’s young people and of our community. Our dedicated team of educators assists students in acquiring the knowledge, skills and character traits necessary to succeed in school and graduate ready for higher education, technical school or the world of work.

PPSD partners with families, community members, businesses and government to provide first class educational opportunities for every learner. Our community has a long history of support for education, it’s children, and providing resources needed for quality classes and extra-curricular activities. PPSD is dedicated to partnering with our community in providing our students with the necessary tools and experiential background to help them fully realize and maximize their potential as productive citizens and future leaders in our community, state and nation.
